American Caribbean Challenge

Our good friends Lee Stevens and Jerry Perez have started something special down in western Puerto Rico. The American Caribbean Challenge is a charity tournament supporting the hearing and visually impaired children of Cabo Rojo and western Puerto Rico.  Looks like they had a great time doing a great community service!  Congratulations on a successful first year!
Their dates for this year's event are September 30 to October 3, 2010.

Online Tournament Registration

You can now register your team for the 2010 Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic online at http://www.mgcbc.com/.

It is very simple and here is how you do it:
- From the menu, click on 2010 Tournament and then click the Registration Info. tab.
- If you have not yet done so, click on Create Free Account
- The simple account form is presented that needs to be filled out in order for you to enter the more secure tournament entry information.  Please note that you must enter an underscore in place of spaces for your boat name.  example: Fish In the Baits should be entered Fish_In_The_Baits.
- When you submit the form an activation email will promptly be sent to you with a confirmation number and a code you will need for activating your new account.
- Once activated, you can login to your account to create your tournament entry form including boat information, angler information, shirt sizes, golf team members, etc.
- Once you have completed the tournament entry form you will again receive an email containing a copy for your records and instructions on getting your entry payment to us.
- Please note that for the early bird drawing, your payment date (postmark date if mailed) will be used for your early bird drawing tickets, not the date of the online registration unless they are the same.

Get your entry forms in now because WE ARE BACK!  By this we mean that all boats are back in Biloxi this year as they must all depart from Point Cadet Marina for the premier tournament on the Gulf Coast, the 2010 Mississippi Gulf Coast Billfish Classic.

Boats under 40 ft. know how to bring home the cash!

The question: Do you need a big boat to compete in the MGCBC?  The answer: Not for the last three years as the center console gang has competed very well and taken home some extremely large checks at the Sunday award ceremonys.
When the XS Rated came to the scales in '09, angler Joe Allen and company, with captain Mathew Caldwell surprized the crowd not once, but twice._Z9X3500
The first surprize came when the sleek, center console style boat arrived at the same dock along side the much larger, cockpit style, sportfishing boats.  Then came the second suprize, the crew weighed in the winning wahoo, taking home a whopping $115,680 for their catch.  The 40 foot and under boats have regularly placed in the meat fish divisions in recent years and have shown that without a doubt, they do indeed know how to bring home the cash.
